Johnny was excellent
The orchestra made the beautiful set special. Ben Rector sang most of his unique Christmas songs blended with his best sellers. He took a break with the musicians, and the comedian was terrific. The first set lasted 45 minutes, and he chatted briefly between songs, at times seeming uncomfortable. We had a 20-minute break, then Ben Rector for another 50 minutes. The show let out around 9:50 pm, with one encore leading to a standing ovation. Toward the end, he and his guitar player sang a few Brazilian favorites - this didn't resonate with me, but others enjoyed it.
